AUTUMN WINTER 2015
Andrew Kayla’s Autumn-Winter 2015 collection evokes London in the swinging ‘60s, when fashion was futuristic and sharp styling reigned supreme. The collection meshes a retro colour palette and 60s-style detailing with luxe winter textures such as lace, calf hair and velour suede.
The collection makes a statement with shoes of every shape – over-the-knee boots lengthen legs, while vertiginous stilettos heels get straight to the point. Fashion-forward pointed flats and sturdy block heels are fail-safe options for day – or night.
Fire engine red, cool cobalt blue, elegant ebony and a striking space-age kaleidoscope finish are nods to the mod era, while Andrew Kayla plays with texture, pairing high-gloss patent or velour suede with calf, eel skin or nappa leather, before polishing the look with contrast piping.
For the long winter nights, there are Renee’s over-the-knee boots in black pebble calf, a low 4-cm heel and a luxe shearling lining, while knee-high Sofie’s 10-cm heels feature a sturdy platform.
The collection also contains the enduring, classic styles synonymous with the Andrew Kayla name. Pumps with a Milky Way-inspired mottled finish straight from the era of Apollo and neutral leather paired with velour suede and calf in signature heeled styles.
The on-trend block heel of Gisele is perfectly curved to flatter the foot and with its contrast in colour and textures, as well as a sky-high 10-cm heel, is the go-to pump of the season.
